Its been all systems go these past few months, we finished painting the living room, stripped and painted the hallway. We then moved onto the garden when the nice weather hit and I got started painting the shed!
But there has been a few new additions to Casa Yorkshire Hare.
Mr TYH was tasked with spraying the Fireplace from a not so mellow yellow to a bold and brilliant white. It fits in so much better now, the grey and white look clean and crisp together and the fireplace looks modern and less dated.
What a difference a lick of paint can make!
After that job was done it was time to put up the shelf Mr TYH had made especially for the living room. He is pretty clever as he made a floating shelf with limed oak and a decorative metal strip through the middle. Adding a tiny bit of the industrial look. And it is the best shelf for a #shelfie on instagram!
After the shelf I let Mr TYH have a break and then I started on painting the shed. Like I said before its amazing what a lick of paint can do, the shed is finished but I still have plans for it and it will definitely become a decorative feature! I painted it with Cupriol – Muted Clay and it is the perfect shade, watch out bench & gate, I’m coming for ya!
And in between I have got a few new home accessories! I love a good accessory and I don’t think you can have too many, especially when you can mix’n’match and move them around the place!
Here are a couple of my faves recently!
This was a bargain from The Range at just over £10, I ended up going back and buying another for the bedroom renovation!
This one however is sitting proud on the freshly sprayed mantel piece. Its quite large and fills a good space, and isn’t it just so pretty!
This vase is one of my best buys. Its huuuge and you would pay an arm and a leg for this style vase elsewhere but I got it for £5 is JYSK. And it is fab, I might need another!
It is another piece that you can mix’n’match and put different faux flowers in it as the seasons change!
It is simple, modern but very effective.
