Why we lose it sometimes.
I haven’t written for a while and to be totally honest I completely lost my mojo, I got writers block, I didn’t know what to write about and if I did know, I was worried it would be boring. So I didn’t. I took a blog holiday over the summer, but I’m back!
Why did I lose my mojo?
Well I had no inspiration, even looking through my instagram feed, pinterest, browsing showrooms I just didn’t find anything that I particularly loved, and that’s ok, we can’t all love the same things or the same trends.
I had a massively busy summer. The work in the garden was in full force, it was Mr TYH’s birthday and our first big party and work, well work was work! It left little time for me to be creative, I wanted to do moodboards but had no idea where to start, I want to style some pictures but didn’t know how!
And I am a perfectionist. There I admitted it. The reason there have been few full view shots of the house is that there is still so much unfinished, I like to be 100% happy before I go and snap away! But soon there will be lots more living room photos as in two weeks time our GORGEOUS new sofa is arriving and I can’t wait! I just hope it looks ok when it gets here.
What next?
Its time to refocus and get my sh*t together (in the words of Sarah Knight, not mine Dad, if you are reading this). I am going to start 2019 with a planner…yes that’s right a planner, and not the secondary school style one. I am going to plan my blog posts, put time aside for styling, photo taking & editing blog posts. She says.
I know that was pretty short and sweet but I don’t want to harp on about it. Positive Vibes only. If you have any questions or suggestions for refocusing let me know in the comments or through my contact page.

I know the feeling. I think the lack of engagement everywhere isn’t helping. xx
