This year I want to focus this gift guide mainly on small businesses, and to be honest, its all stuff I would love to receive (make note Mr TYH).
I am a sucker for a candle. But you all know this anyway! I am really loving Soy Wax candles, and I am trying to make a conscious effort to switch to soy wax as it is so much better for the environment, its vegan friendly (I am not vegan, I love cheese too much!) and I don’t feel like it leaves a heavy scent.
One of my favourite Candle curators is Coates & Warner, Lizzie blends the most beautiful scents into her hand poured candles, this one is my ultimate fave, but I could be tempted with a Christmas scent!
A Christmas decoration! I love the sentimental value of a Christmas tree decoration, for the past few years I have tried to buy ones for my mum & mum-in-law (to be!) just as something a little bit special! And when I went to Raemoir at the end of August they had just started to put out the Christmas decorations, and I must say that the blush pink display was on point! So much so I had more than a handful of decorations in my hands.
These beautiful blush pink decs were from Raemoir, a lovely family run Garden & Home centre in Banchory, Scotland. I love visiting when I am up visiting family, they have the best home accessories and a lovely cafe!
Jewellery is an easy win with me, I love simple Sterling silver pieces. A couple of my fave small creators (who I already have pieces from!) are:
All of these lovely little businesses I found on Instagram and I would rarely buy from big chains without looking at what they might have first! It feels good to support small businesses knowing that you are supporting a dream, a family and creatives.
These are just a few of those I love, would anyone be interested in my favourite Instagram finds? I can compile a pretty extensive if you want!
Until next time…
