I have been asked for this recipe so here it is! Its super easy!
Ingredients
175g butter, softened
85g golden caster sugar (I just used normal!)
200g plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
100g chocolate chips (I didn’t put any in mine as I knew I was using a cookie cutter)
Method
Mix the butter & sugar together with a wooden spoon, stir in the flour & cocoa powder bit by bit & then add the chocolate chips if you are going down that route.
The last bit needed me to mix it together with my hands & then halve the dough and roll into a log, about 5cm thick. I then wrapped it in cling film & put it in the fridge to firm up. Which I urge you to do as I got impatient and tried to roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter and it was just too sloppy!
When the dough has cooled I sprinkled a mixture of flour & cocoa powder over the work top to stop the dough sticking, roll it out to about 1cm thick and used my star shaped cookie cutter.
I then put them on a tray with grease proof paper & into the oven at 170 degrees (fan over) for 11-12 mins.
Enjoy! Don’t forget to tell me how they are!
